SHORT ROUND

i've done a search through the disco part of the forum but can't find anything in depth. does anyone know where or does anyone have a guide to help me in the fitting of extended wheel arches to a 5 door disco. i've not purchased them yet so if anyone knows where to get a set cheap that would also be a great help.

**** easy to fit. Cut around old arch shape. Hold up new arch to see if anymore cuttings needed, then drill and screw or rivet.

i don't believe its that easy on a 5 door mate. 3 door then yes but on a five door it involves cutting into the door hence i'm looking for some input on other peoples experiances/problems whilst fitting before i attempt mine.

It is an easy job. Just treat the rear as one arch even if its in two parts. Your over thinking it:)

you my friend are a star. i can now sit and look and read over and over til i get it straight in my head or at least until my arches turn up. thanks

i will also try and take loads of pictures when i do mine to help someone else along, will be doing my safari snorkel soon so even more cutting required lol

got my arches sat on the dining room table, saved those links for later. Got a shed to build this weekend. I'll be doing the same withs pics, fitted snorkel last summer. doddle, distructions plain and simple really just take it step at a time, cant go wrong.

did'nt get any instructions with my snorkel as bought a second hand one off a user on here but i downloaded the template and will attemt it soon.

unsure of what size wheels and tyres to get tho? i dont want nothing mega big just abit bigger and fatter than the 235/70/16 i got on now

did mine not long ago. got a mate to help with holding the arch so i could mark where to cut. as for the rear doors alittle more time taken and measure twice and tou will be fine. i used the line that runs down the middle off the car as my reference point so the top of the arch meets that line. its in the instructions for the arch kit anyway
