Hello all,
I have been a bit stupid.
I have a spare P38 I use for parts. I removed the drivers door latch from it to replace a faulty latch on the one I drive daily.
I put the faulty latch into the spare motor to get the door to close but did not connect up any of the rods for the latches or connect the plugs for the motors.
...I will add all this was done with the other doors locked!

Of course now I can't get any of the doors open.
Is there anyway of getting any door open or should I just break a window to gain entry?
 
How does that work?
I know holding the lock button will close all the windows but I wasn't aware you could open windows with the remote as well?
 
I just tried on my good P38 which everything works on and when unlock is pressed the windows don't open. Therefore I'm thinking my 1997 model won't have that feature either.
I will do some do some more investigating and see if I can anything to work. Only want the door open so I can move it and then take off the aircon rad :)

There’s a lot of features on that fob worth knowing just so you DONT EVER superlock your vehicle.
I’ve not got mine with me to show you but it’s in Owners Manual.

How and why did you lock the driver door then?

This is on the spares car? Not so bad.

Boot won't work without central microswitch on actuator.

Can you flex the passenger door and slip something through to lift the sill button?

Hold on ... Essex. How to get into a locked vehicle plain as day on t'internet. Are you a cockney thief?

I'm not sure if it tells the BECM to pop all doors or whether it pops the driver's one and that then triggers the other doors.

At least the dog wasn't inside. Roasting out there. Of course, if only the wife was inside ... To open the door, obviously.

I'll go and check that now.
edit: Unlocking and holding the unlock button does not open the windows, nor is it mentioned in the owners handbook.
