Thanks so far ;)

Right, Ive rang me local landrover garage, they havent got any as apparently its not considered a serviceable part and theyd have to order one in. They advised trying an actual dealer which Im going to try now, or the Exeter 4x4 centre just down the road.

I dont think theres a landrover dealership in Tiverton, but there is one here in Taunton

EDIT:

Tried the LR dealer, no luck there either. They dont carry the part and said none of the garages in their sister group carry it either.

Ok so Ive tried:

County Rovers garage
Landrover dealership in Taunton
Exeter 4x4 center
Mackfords Landrover garage Exeter (said they can get them for £23.99 + VAT but would take at least 3 days to get here )
Bearmach Landrover parts & dealer Exeter
Blackdowns 4x4 centre

Not a single one of them has the part or knows anywhere that might be able to get one. Sorry mate seems youve picked a horrifically obscure part to break! :(

;)
been reading and re reading through this fred.
nowhere near you to help,
but glad your sorted.
was wondering with all your kit you never loctited the lost bolt nor checked the torque on it,
was wondering if it shattered at the head?
then the threaded shaft unscrewed>>

I tightend mine after cam belt change, with a length of scaffold tube,
with my inbuilt arms grunto metre reading ft/lbs
it works..
