hi guys im in desperate need on a fuel lifter pump for a series 3 and I need one fast my truck failed its m.o.t a few days ago on cross member and fuel leek I have worked so hard to get this completed with in the ten days so it will be a simple free check test. but my problem is I live on the isle of wight and cant get one delivered until Tuesday. my 10 days runs out on Monday if anyone can sell me one who lives in Portsmouth or that region isle of wight ect I will come over on the boat and get it im that desperate.

sorry im a complete novice when it comes to forums. there are a few guys down here who know what they are doing but not many are to bothered about helping.

IRRC there used to be a guy on the left hand side of the road if you travel from snows land rover along the A3054 towards bouldnor that used to do landy bits and repairs. I have a feeling that Fleck used him to get a fan belt a few years back when he had problems over there.

Is the parts place on the trading estate behind the Texaco garage at Sandown still trading?:confused:
 
not sure but we have a Unipart down here and ses but im out of luck with them so I doubt anywhere else would have one unless someone is breaking one somewhere.

Have you tried the land rover parts place in Lymington?
 
No not yet good suggestions guys. Bearing in mind I have to get there and back on monday and get it to the test centre before it shuts. So that could be a challenge as I would imagine they only operate mon-fri 9-5
 
Just went to that website and they look promising but I work saturdays until 4 and they shut at 12.30

is there no way to instant gasket or similar the leak just to get it through its test and then sort the problem out once the part arrives?:confused:
 
its leaking from the diaphragm inside and the fuel is running out the suction hole underneath. im going to try and ask around today, locally I have seen 3 or 4 around that are just sat there rotting so I may be able to get one off of one of those but most are just sat in fields or old barns in the middle of nowhere so tracking down the owner could be hard.
