please can someone have a look at my photos please. Beryl has various leaks under her and being untechnical i've taken photos of the places that look like they're leaking. also some other things that look suspect.

can anyone help diagnose please. i don't know what all the bits are called sorry. if you click on the pictures i've put some tags on to help identify the bits to me.

All the leaks on yer axles ar fairly normal for the age of the vehicle, the one near rad and behind front bumper could be linked as an engine oil cooler leak, the transfer box (big silver coloured thing underneath) again for a vecle of that age are fairly normal, The shock absorber ones are the most worryiny and probably want dealing with NOW as fooked shocks make for dangerous driving and the ones on the front axle swivels again want doing. See busters fred for repairing these

other than the shocks there isnt too much wrong - just normal leaks

might be a good idea to get the underneath (especially where it's very oilly) steam cleaned you can then more easily indentify where the leaks are from

them shocks are dangerous

thank you so much - that is very helpful. no doubt i'll be back with more questions :p

no wonder OH hates riding in the back  , the shocks were like that when i bought her and she had a new MOT. how easy is it to change shocks - considering i'm no mechanic lol

thanks again

Eeyup Betty. With regards to the oil comin out yer wheel hub, check yer axle breather. If its clogged up this will also cause oil to leak out the hub. I changed my hub oil seals and oil was still coming out. When I checked me breather it was clogged up wi all kinds o ****e. Cleaned it up and this solved the problem. Also got new rubber hub covers from Paddocks Spares for about £1 each I think. That helped too cos a small amount of oil inevitabley seeps thru.. Thass Land Rovers for you..
