Check the mot history notes thoroughly, and if you go to view then inspect through and through, if you're not sure what you're looking at then take someone with you. To say it has no corrosion is unlikely given the history

Doesn't look good, very little effort has gone into looking after that one.

Thank you every1 for the advice that one I was looking at, has sold now oh well wasn't meant to be I suppose. I'll keep this thread updated with any others I end up looking at or getting thankyou all again guys

There are lots around. Don’t buy in haste.
Extremely true, took me 2 months of going up and down the north west and lakes looking before I found mine, some good stuff out there and some absolute nails that have had a hard life. Mine was reasonable condition for something 20 odd years old, had a lot of welding already done, and the 300tdi engine had just timing belt done and all the other associated stuff done. And new turbo , so I knew it’d be good for a few more years..
keep looking, you’ll find the one eventually

I've got a few more to go look at this weekend just a pain in the arse with work and working away from home. But if they've gone by the weekend tis not meant to be I suppose 🤷‍♂️🤣

Thankyou got a few shortlisted to go see this coming weekend. So I will make sure to take a screwdriver hahah 😆
and a torch and overalls. :)
Look at the exhaust manifold to see if there is black soot at either end, they have a habit of warping. That will mean that they will have to take the engine cover off for you.
But importantly check that ALL the warning lights come on when you turn the key and that they ALL go off once running. Some unscrupulous peeps will cover up the fact that the ABS/HDC/TC system has a problem by covering up the bulbs behind the dash.
I expect you have already done this sort of search, but if not, click on this and have a look around.

Absolutely check all the places for rot and hidden holes under waxoil or hammerrite style stuff, I speak from experience, what looked clean and rot free, turned out to be a tad holey, what I assumed wrongly would be a couple of patches, was two full outer sills and some rear hangers and a couple on the inner wings.. thankfully , my Landrover garage does these in his sleep.. at least it’s done now. Be aware!!
On a Disco 2? not a Disco 1?
and the chassis was OK?

Weird!

This is an example of what NOT to buy.
Did you check the history 🤔

Ah but it’s a monster 🤔
Ah and rusty too;)

Of course I expect you have added to your list signs of ‘water ingress’ to your list 😊.
Sunroofs, front footwells and the rear door are your starters, and have been mentioned in the disco 1 & 2 forum posts over the years.

I'd sooner look here than on eBay, or on many other sites.
