Hi all,
Wasn't sure where to post this question so I put it here in the hope someone can help.

The other day my windscreen wiper linkage fell apart meaning no wipers :( - although the motor was still working.

I was able to get a new wiper linkage and I have fitted it in place. BUT having now reconnected everything my wipers now seem to be going in the wrong direction! i.e. they move downwards first.

Anybody have any ideas what I might have done wrong?

Thanks.

set it to it's rest position and refit linkage sounds like it was halfway thru it's cycle when you stopped and refitted.

The old linkage & motor were definitely in the park position when I took the old one out.

And I have tried aligning the cam in different directions when I've re-fitted, but whenever I turn the ignition on the linnkage moves into the same position before I've even turned the wipers on.

The only thing I can think is that I've confused the motor somehow when I discounted it from the old linkage. As the motor and linkage were pretty well fused together it took quite a lots of rotations of the cam to unscrew it. And at the beginning of this process rotating the cam was turning the motor screw as well.
