Hi all,
I live in rural France, my Disco 2 is my lifeline, but has just let me down, literally.......
Came out the other day and there it was sitting on its haunches both sides down. Managed to start it up and it rose back up, and kept on rising !!!!!
had to drive it a little way, carefully and it dropped back down, and went all the way back down.
Tried taking the battery out and refitting and that seemed to work as it rose to correct level. Sadly by the next morning it was down again.
I am no mechanic but i cant drive it to a garage as its miles away.
Any ideas / help would be greatly appreciated

Listen near the air springs when the engine is started and if you hear a hissing noise it means it's a leak... changing a bag is easy... you are not mechanic but do you have tools and are you handy enough to carry out some jobs with guidance ?

Thank you, I have tried this and no hissing

What about the sensors? can't you see one snapped or detached ?, see image below. ... also answer what kind of works are you up to do cos if you are not able to improvise a wiring or handle some tools we are speaking in vain

My uncle is willing to give me a hand and has some jacks etc, if he knows what to do - expert advice from you guys ? I will go check the sensors but i looked before and couldnt see anything untoward

If no visible issue with the sensors and no evidence of leak it can be a management or wiring issue too, an easy thing which worth a try is to disconnect the battery then unplug the connectors of the sensors and see if the wirings are ok into the pins, give some contact spray and connect them back... if no change afer that you can make an improvisation to inflate the bags: unplug everything in the compressor housing, improvise a wiring as to feed the compressor and the two air supply valves at the same time... if u feed these and it starts to rise let it untill the aprox normal level and cut the feed. Leave everything unplugged and wait... if there is no leak along the system it can stay levelled for days dont worry... at least you'll know it's something else... see this: SLS disaster! Please help

and the ultimate bodge as to be able to go unill a garage is to jack it up and stick in wood blocks under the bump stops as in the pic, good luck
