Sorted now! Turned out to be one of the 30 amp fuses under the seat after all! Had it retested this morning (day 10) and it passed with flying colours!
Cheers all!

That's good but I would highly recommend you take the seat ECU out, take the top off and check the condition of the battery and board. if it still has the original battery in it change it ASAP and don't be suckered in to thinking it is an exotic battery in there coz it aint you can use this: 1 x Varta Mempac Rechargeable 3/V150H NiMH Battery 3.6v 140mAh (3/V150H) = £4.99 from www.buyabattery.co.uk check it out coz you can't get a new ecu and repaired ones often don't have the memory function and second try getting one and lastly if you can get one be prepared to pay a small fortune for it.

Thanks Chaps. I've just been offered a good deal (well, I think so!) on an L322 so after much soul searching I'm going to sell my Classic. Its going to be appearing on Ebay this Sunday 22 evening. I'll post a link on the RR For Sale page when it goes live.

another one comes to the l322 club after an lse... you will love it. had mine 3 months now, cant keep out of it, just love driving the it... what you getting oil burner or petrol..

i got the petrol , so quiet and smooth.. but fell in love today with a brand new one sitting in a showroom near me today. 73and half grands worth. TDV8 in green with black leather.. so bloody tempting... will keep you posted over next few days. make sure if you getting a derver, its had new box fitted, as they eat themselves and at 90k they die..

Sounds like someone wired round the seat ecu (probably pcb mounted battery leaking onto board). If this was done directly from the origional switches to the motors then the switch will burn out as they normaly operate relays in the ecu and cannot cope with the seat motor current. If this is the case either fit some heavy duty switches or replace old switch with a working unit and shunt power through some 12v relays, good luck.

After some time laid up for panel fixing after an accident the leccy drivers seat on my silver RRC has been playing up. The classic memory seat faults of mirrors moving but not the seat, then sometimes the seat but not the mirrors.
I repaired the seat ECU on my last green RRC, so remember the fun I had doing that one... Fortunately I do have another ECU I've sorted to replace it. All being well I'll be doing that lil' job on my day off tommorrow!
cant wait :(

Cheers Joe, I'm sure you'll have fun replacing it, my RR use to provide hours of entertainment! She is now living in her new home in Colchester so if anyone sees J570 BHJ (black Vogue se) give her a wave! I'll be back on the forum, no doubt ;), as soon as I get my new toy! ATB.
