Can anyone please help, the interior light in my 89 Mandy 90 has stopped working, it was fine then the glass broke and nothing since, I have taken it apart and have new light which has two wires and a funny connector the live wire and only wire that fed the light is still present and un damaged, the switch is the rocker type and still operates the dash light ok so don't think it is switch or fuse, does the light have to be earthed etc please help it is killing me

When you tested it, did you have it screwed into place or just dangling from the wires?
It probably earths through the mounting screws.
