Hi all

I'm looking to put in a battery kill switch as a security measure. No idea the best way to do this. If anyone is able to give me an idiots guide and shopping list it would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

yeh I've done a few searches and i get a different approach every time hahha stuff about needing to protect the alternator etc

wanted to get a definitive answer from here if possible

Do you want a switch that will prevent the engine from being started but will knacker your alternator if used when the engine is running, or do you want a switch that will prevent the engine from being started and can also be used to kill the engine when it's already running?

I think given the potential for accidental use whilst the engine is running, probably best to go with the later approach?

Look up FIA battery master switch in that case, as said there's loads of information around about them already including wiring diagrams etc
