You can just see the bypass done on mine by a previous owner, seeing as its a common failure/repeat failure at that bypass it with no ill effect with a bit of silicon pipe

Why drain the system? Clamp the pipes, replace the t/b , clean up the pipe ends and refit.
Either your not in the trade or you work for a main stealer. No for the whole job, removing and re fitting the coolent pipe, then the TB heater. The coolent pipe was really awkward to get off the header tank and re fitting it was a awkward job because of the way it's routed round the engine.
Are you taking the ****, of course i'm not in the trade, im a DIY mechanic and if I was a main dealer would I be on here asking about part numbers, Jesus H Christ, go in a corner and think about what you said, you tit!
You don't decide when the thread is closed, if any member want's to reply that is their option. My point was that if you took 3 hr's to complete your task and gave a customer that sort of bill then it woudn't be long before you were out of business, unless you were a main stealer who's customers are not happy unless they get an inflated bill. Anyway, get over yourself and try to get a sence of humour in the New Year. All the best to you and all Members of the Forum for 2016No I understood him perfectly thanks.
Funny thing is this thread is closed, so why add to it by attempting to sound clever.
Anyway the job is done, thread closed time to move on.
Happy new year everyone.
