I might have the overdrive blanking plate and gear knocking about if your desperate for one, give us a shout if you need it.

Aye, sounds t'me like it wuz a bad idea to pull away hard wiv yer O/D engaged, they int designed fer that!

Have t'say, all the other 'speriments you tried & the noise being there suggested that you still had the O/D engaged. Begs the question, do you ever disengage it?

If it's fine thru the gears with it disengaged you've prob' found the problem & I daresay if you can find the replacement gear that needs to go in & the bearing plate for the back of the box when you remove the O/D you can probably flog the remains fer a fair few quid, even totally knackered!

I will have a hunt around the workshop 2moro and see if i can find it!
I am in worthing west sussex so can post it if i find it! PM me

top man! pm on its way!
marcus drive without the O/D until i get to 4th and when i manage to get some revs up i shift to o/d i just forgoted cause i was going round some roadworks and some dick came thru on red from t' other way an i had t rerverse into a gap being ****ed off i gave it beans and bang drrrrrrrrrr <insert expletive here>
there was a guy broke doon on the other side of the road so i got the landy to a safe place and did the thing all good landy owners do, i went and helped him after calling my mate to come tow me home, he was panicing cause his zorst had broke and folded double round his rear beam 2 mins later i had him back on the road with his exhaust in his boot

Try Ashcroft Transmission, just outside Luton.

I know its a way away from you, but there the blokes you see featured in various landy publications fitting and tweeking overhauled gearboxes. I have also used them for a reconditioned box and cant say enough about them.
