I have been meaning to get round to it for a while and finally did it today.

When I had reconnected everything and turned the ignition on, I got the 15-20 seconds of screeching and whining from the fuel pump I expected. Turned the key and it started and then stopped immediately.
I have checked to make sure I put the pipes back on in the right holes and they are ok. Electrical connection is on ok.

When I crank it over on the key I get a dashboard full of warning lights. The engine warning light flashes, the ABS, traction control and a whole load of other yellow lights I have never noticed before - Self leveling?

Can anybody help or suggest anything before I go out and put a match to it...

Ta.:(:(

purge the fuel system...

ignition to position 2, deck the throttle 5 times quickly, pump will whur, wait for the engine light to stop flashing

Thanks chaps. I did try this but it hasn't fired so far. Cranked on the key for about two minutes and nothing... or is two minutes not long enough??

If you mean that you were turning the engine over for two minutes solid, that is entirely wrong.

You should not need to turn the motor over for longer than 2-3seconds.

If it hasn't fired up by then there is a fault that needs diagnosing and resolving.

Iirc you changed the fuel regulator and then re-did it due to a lack of a seal? I would suggest you purge the system again, but don't deck the accel pedal at all. Just turn the key 'til the dashboard lights up and leave it in that position for about two mins or until the pump stops pumping, then fire her up.

did you chang the o ring and the gasket they both need changing or they will leak and could suck in air but it is very unlikeley that this would stop the engine running
