hello i am having difficulty selecting reverse in my 90 its a 200tdi not ure what box it is can anyone help?

when i want to go to select reverse it should just slide left then forwards but it isnt letting my push the gear stick further than the 1st gear position and it just stops like there isnt even a gear there i can select it some times but most of the time i cant what can i do to fix this?

it should be an lt77 ,if you look down at extension housing below gear stick turret on drivers side there is reverse plunger it has a sprung rod that lets you know were 1st and 2nd gear are and then spring is compressed to get reverse it will be seized ,remove it and strip it down ,some have adjuster screw to tighten the spring that alters pressure needed to compress it

extension housing? and gearstick turret? can this be done without taking the box out? and reverse in on the left and forward so wouldnt it be left side of box or not?

under tunnel ,you dont need to remove box ,follow lever down to turret and lower lever its bolted to extension housing ,reverse plunger is bolted to drivers side as lower lever pivots in turret so when you push gear lever to the left the bottom of lower lever goes over to the right
