you better ask santa nicely and he might give you em for christmas. You'll ave to fit em yerself though.:p
 
How difficult is it to get the cable along the pipes? I might change mine as I don't think its ever been done you see.

It's not difficult feeding the cable through. You might have a problem finding somewhere to attatch the cable though. You should just be able to get a pneumatic drill in over the bell housing to make a small incision to locate the arm.:D:D:D
 
Right - I will give it ago once I can get this carburetor problem sorted on my 300tdi.

Ooooh you were unlucky with that one. I hear that they can be a right bastid to do. Are you gonna post a 'how to' after you dunnit?:D:D:D
 
Was there any bang when you lost the gears? Is it possible you have torn the clutch up? As mentioned when trying to engage lo/hi gears somtimes you need to lift the clutch pedal enough to allow the cogs to rotate slightly and line up, if the clutch has gone then nothing will be rotating in the gear/transfer boxes.

The whirring sound could just be the thrust bearing.
