help when i start my freelander the coolant fan comes on for no reason from cold. i have just had to have my head gasket replaced again and i was told this should have solved the problem but it hasn't. if anyone has a solution please let me know. thanks:rolleyes:
 
have you told whoever did the hg that its happening? - it might just be a dodgy stat/sender/switch or relay

Well whoever fixed it should sort it out..............Muppets. Howcome they didnt fix it correctly the first time?

NAME AND SHAME THE GARAGE!

Two hgf could possibly indicate a warped head or sunken cylinder liner

If the fan comes on straight away the brown terminal connector for the temp sender could be disconnected. Its on the RHS of your engine.

I am assuming the temp gauge isnt hot or higher than normal
 
Your gonna have to face upto the fact that you brought a crap car and the only question you need answering now is do you replace it with a disco or a defender

What one of those defenders or discos with the Td5 engine? An engine with the same aluminium in the head as the petrol K-series :p ;) :D
