hi guys im new on here so please forgive me if i do anything wrong.

i have a discovery 2 td5 facelift 2003 with offroad goodies td5 inside stage 2 remap with bigger ally inter cooler and similar mods.

recently my top coolant hose was pressuring so i did the headgasket and problem solved :)

now i have another issue. it starts and idles a treat. i havent heard the engine sound so smooth.but it has no power at all. it only just pulls away with your foot flat to the floor.

i've serviced it with all filters and oils
checked fuel pressure going into the regulator and its around 5 bar constant
i've checked all turbo hoses ( recently silicon ones )
checked all the connections
nanocom and test book show no faults at all.
i've replaced the cranksensor maf and map
I've re timed it 3 times just to check. crank and cam locked with pins.
all injectors are coded correctly and in the correct positions
injectors were adjusted wound down and backed off 1 turn

apart from the pressurising of the top hose it went like stink. i could light all wheels up from a stand still and now it hasn't got the power to even pull away. it also tops out at 55-60 when i used to do double this ( where legal :p )

i'm at a complete loss. my local dealer is also stumped and i cant find anyone else with this issue with a cause or solution .

1. is it manual or auto?
2. can you rev it up to 4000 stationary?
3. do you still have access to nanocom or other tester?...
in these cases the live data reading is relevant not the fault codes, first of all make sutre that the wastegate is not stuck open

if its locked with timing pins via crank and cam is it still possible it could be out ?

Sorry do not know, but this could be one tooth out.

Is it smoking a lot? If so no boost, this would also cause a top out at 60mph.

So check boost when driving, make sure it is definately boosting

no smoke what so ever white or black .

i have a boost gauge fitted ans it used to boost to 1.4 bar. now it struggles to produce 1 bar

its manual. yes it will rev all the way to redline 4800rpm with the remap stationary fine but it seems slow to rev.

yes i still have access to a nanocom and testbook

the wastegate is free moving no resistance at all

Check wastegate then.

It is going to be something stupid like that

i would like to think im mechanically minded and i agree it will be something stupid !!! the waste gate has no resistance at all. it was one of the first things i checked

Should be stiff due to the springs

Could this be a throttle pedal issue?
