Just had pair of stub axles delivered and I was expecting bearmach and are britpart in the box , Now do I return at my cost and order bearmach or are they much the same .
Read the small print I should of done , annoyed . But Dan at Jsg4x4 says sold hundreds no issue and will be fine . But he would do I guess

From all accounts though they are ok to use.

I mean you could get the verynear calipers out and size them up against the originals?

You should not have to do that with a new part , ive found out someone else had them under size i certainly don't want that , not so bad if you have the luxury of a workshop to get the van in and can be left stripped , but i haven't so would need fixing not , waiting for bits to arrive . , why don't britpart get there act together . Decided to return and bearmach ordered already , maybe not the best either but a better chance than the others i believe . Just more money wasted returning them .

Does seem shoddy I must admit.

I like it that I have a local(ish) parts supplier who will supply whatever I wants.

Little more scrolling shows this to be the the hub seal you were asking about a few days ago?

You could always go down the route of a speedisleeve to repair the seal land on your original stub axle?

I was looking at the state of the output shaft seal lands on the transfer box last year when I replaced the front one and was wondering if I could get it built up with weld and turned back to size on a lathe?

Why don't you use landranger services in middlewich, an excellent parts supplier who from my own experience can source any parts you need usually in 24 hours, maybe a little more expensive but a very knowledgeable voice on the end of the phone or visit them as they are quite local to you.

Didn't know about them at middlewich but there's no one near enough to just pop round , middlewich is most likely the nearest , still 45 mins at best , I should make the effort as I do like to actually see parts , but you get lazy and I'm guilty of the on-line trend .
Give JSG,.4X4, There due they are paying for the return post , technically it's my fault as they were listed as ( Bearmach , All makes and britpart ) tagged on and as I was in a rush concerned about getting the right ones and read bearmach Allmakes and pressed buy now . Also they have now changed the listing to show britpart in the main box listing manufacturer .
