Hi Chaps

Stripped the centre consule out and the gater etc to get to the links.
Given it a good spray with wd40. Just have to wait and see.

Just a bit confused though. The lever moves backwards and forwards but is it supposed to move left and right?

Just spoke to my brother who was in the army and he said that they used to drive the landy's over rough ground to get them unjammed.

WD40 is a water dispersant (hence the WD) you'd be better off with a dismantling fluid such as Plusgas or GT40

and yes it should move side to side

Sounds like you've bought a Disco that's only ever been used for the school run so the linkage has seized up somewhere. My one was a bit stiff when I first got it, but now it regularly gets shifted in and out of hi/lo and diff lock so it's pretty free moving.

There is a G-D!!

With a lot of straining finally got the lever to move to the right.
Gonna let it soak and sort it out.
Just got to put centre consule back plus all the other gubbins...

Thank you all for your input and help!!!!!
