Hi all,
My name is Sophie. My husband and I have recently (1 week ago) purchased a defender 90. This is my first Land Rover ever. My husband grew up on a farm, so has experience of these wonderful beasts. I fell in love with Carawagons a number of years ago when visiting the rural living museum, (its up there with barometer world....) and when my sister sent me the add for this it seemed like the perfect time to take the plunge.
Work and sinking money into the bottomless pit has begun in earnest and we are enjoying every minute of it so far. We have also camped one night and I tell you - most comfortable night sleep in a tent I have ever had.
I guess I should thank the hive mind of these forums in advance for all the help I suspect you will give - I already have a question!

Workshop area is up on my the family farm. It is a great space and there are a few others for when we get kicked out for harvest.

Yes, all I had going through my head the other day was the itailian job - we did only blow the doors off ;) Rust treatment has begun - that, having once owned a Fiat X-19 is something I have a lot of experience with :(

Hi and welcome!

Great looking Landy! My first thought was that the doors had been nicked... it happens!

Make sure you invest in some decent security measures for the new Landy, they’re very popular with thieves.

Please put a tracker on it....

Then sell it and buy a proper 4 wheel drive:D

Defenders are leaky rattle boxes that run on nasty diesel, Jeeps run on lovely petrol and lots of it:p
