Evening all, i have recently purchased my first 86' defender which has been fitted with a Daihatsu Engine which i know some wont approve. It's riddled with the usual landrover issues barely anythink works lol needs loads of work and is on the original chassis which has been patched previously but is good for a years yet

What Daihatsu engine does it have ? is it the 2.8 TD?

Yes the 2.8 but its the early one its got a leak from the exhaust manifold so thats guna be a great job
