Didn't realise you had to introduce yourself so here goes!

My name is Rachel and I have been the proud owner of my 07' Freelander 2 for 7 months now.

The dream would be a Defender but not really in a poor 25 year old's budget :(.

I know very little about cars so I'might sure I'll be on here a lot! So thank you in advance :p

Hi Rachel,

Welcome to the loonyzone..........:D:D:D

Pictures , we like pictures. Of freelanders getting muddy or even of mad GSD's

Cheers

7 months now, and I love it!! Not had the opportunity to do any proper off roading as had a lot of hiccups when it was bought (4 new tyres, new clutch, gear box, plenty of engine issues etc) so it's been basically in bubble wrap!

I do need to soon though. Plenty of places around me I'm sure!

Good evening Rachel and welcome to the thick skinned world of Landyzone. It's always good to have a new member, especially one with honourable intentions - to buy a Defender for you and your mutt. Not suggesting that he or she is a mongrel!

Oh that's sad and I'm sorry to bring it up.

We have recently upped our canine menagerie by one Chocolate brown Labrador which, if it doesn't stop winding up the two cocker spaniels, could well end up in the for sale pages of Landyzone!

What is that long green snake in front of your vehicle? And, who scribble all over the front number plate?

I have a 4 year old collie who can be very attention seeking so I feel your pain there.

My dad has his plates cloned once and it's stayed with me!

Stay safe kids.

"My Dad had his plates cloned and it stayed with me?"

Without feeling like I'm stalking you, can you explain? I am well pasted my sell by date and, although I have three daughters, all younger than you, I can't help thinking that my command of the English/Welsh language is week.

Yaki dah

Peeps copy plates so they can drive on someone else's insurance to save them getting their own. Also stops them having to pay fines.

Do yerself a favour and keep the freelander. The last thing yer need is a tratter. It will only be eaten by rust worms or get nicked.

They had the same car so had some plates made the same as his and drove around stealing petrol @Alan Crossley

I know a guy who has worked for Land Rover for years and he said the same thing @Hippo
Doesn't make me want one any less :D

Big thing in London Alan amongst the lowlife. They clone a car they know is road legal knowing they can drive round doing whatever dirty deeds they're up to without interference from Plod. It's taxed, insured, with a current ticket and not registered to them.

I have never heard of that before, and hopefully not happening in the Home Counties. It always amazes me what lengths some people will do to to save a few pounds, creating havoc and misery as they go.

Whilst you, MrS1 and the lovely Rachael Jane are helping out as translators, what has the name Hippo have to do with Land Rovers and, what is a peep?

Enjoy your weekend, what's left of it. My youngest daughter was due to go to a cross country event today, but thankfully it's been postponed due to the heavy rain.
