Hi all, new member, some-time lurker. Hoping to find myself a Defender 90, scouring the Internet (here included) seems like you guys have a good little community going!

Welcome to one day tratter ownership, rust rust and rust again and the vehicles integrity regarding its identity are the first things to look for, there's a reason why some of them seem to cheap :(

Haha! My other love is a 26 year old golf gti so I'm no stranger to a bit of the flakey brown stuff!

As marmaduck said rust it a big problem, not to mention condensation falling oft the inside of the roof and running down yer back, and the heater not working being the hottest it will ever get.

May I ask what sort of budget yer got in mind? Frelander 1's are good value fer money. If yer budget will run to £7k+ then yer could go for a Freelander 2 instead.

Oh that's fine, I have those, I wear them to some very specialist parties  it's funny, I heard somewhere that Freelanders aren't proper landrover... not saying that's my opinion, just something I heard :p

Yer but no but he said he heard it at a party. Person telling him was **ssed. They sometimes leak water in. Reposition the seal on the tailgate or clear out the sunroof drain fixes this. Mine never broke'd down. :p
