This is an informative forum. You just have to sift through the banter to get to the useful stuff. Unfortunately if the banter wasn't here, neither would most of the peeps so you just need to do as discopol says and stick yer rhino skin on and join in without taking things to heart.

Dont take to heart. Way landys roughly work;
Series......enthusiast
Defender.......farmer or proper offroader. More mud than road.
Discovery (older models).....offroader
Discovery ( new models)......mostly road/work use
Freelander....lycra wearers or likely to park in a field at a gymkhana for teenage daughter to ride "tinkerbell" the family's fat pony.
Range rover......older for offroaders who like comfort, newer for posers and livery yard owners.
Evoque......well we won't even go there.
