hey there....i have just today bought my new (2004) defender 90.
i am looking for advice on insurance companies.....can anyone help.:)

Hi,

I'm lucky enough to be own a 90 at 19 years old, but as you can imagine insurance was a nightmare. I found that NFU mutual was the best, if you take out their country side 4x4 drivers policy... It actually turned out that my insurance is cheaper than most people my age in "normal" cars.

Hi there

My insurance was way cheaper than the average nova corsa that was about when I first started driving. Try Adrian Flux some people hate them but they always gave me a decent discount with modifications Welcome to the mad house it can get a bit crazy here.

Try Lancaster, I pay £280 fully comp with windscreen cover and no excess. Ok I am 35 with full no claims but many people I know use Lancaster and are very happy. Anyway welcome to the forum but more importantly welcome to the world of land rover :D

I've also had good results from Adrian Flux. Try a search at moneysupermarket to get some prices together before you call the specialists.

hi:)

where are you? always handy if you need any assistance with fixs.

adrian flux just quoted me £345 on my renewal which is £100 cheaper than last year and that covers everything. think seriously about what mileage you are likely to do. dropping it to a realistic level drops insurance quite a bit
