Other issues are balding tyres at the front (hoping it is just a tracking/alignment issue), broken keys and age related wear n tear on the interior. All seam easy enough to fix, yes?

D2 are quite a good motor, but I would try and buy something without obvious faults to start with, specially if you haven't run a landrover before.

Try a search in Disco section about common faults etc.

You don't need to tart up a Disco for laning, it is well up to it anyway although the bumpers are a bit fragile.
