Hello, I have a 96 Defender 110 300 tdi.
I think it was an ex western power land rover but not sure.
I have a number of problems with it, but I'm determined to make it nice.

As I'm new to this I'm open to any advice...
To start with something simple,
After jet washing the underneath what's best to keep it in good nick?
I've read about Waxoyl is that best?

And if you get a swish noise when in full lock, is that bearings?

Thanks to anyone that advises

Cheers now

Waxoyl is good stuff, just prep the underneath properly, scrap all ****e and rust off, use rust converter, hamerite is what I used on my 90, then cover all items that wont get hot in waxoyl

cheers, I've heard that but I haven't got any old oil.
I guess its waxoyl for now - thanks tho
So is waxoyl used with a brush as well?
Sorry for my stupidity...

If you use old oil I will personally visit and punch you in the tit.

Stick to waxoyl.

Welcome.

Yeah, but get it warm first, its like painting with tar, warm it up and it will go along way, 5tlrs is usually enough
