As a quick introduction i'm a 19 year old lad who's saved up for his second car to be a range rover evoque, (used mind), as a pipe dream I'm wanting to kit it out to look more rugged, e.g. roof rack, roof mounted light bar, bit more height, all that sort of stuff, so if anyone's got any advice for a young new owner that would be great or indeed if you have any advice on helping me get the look i want, I'd be grateful,

luckily i just managed to clip it onto my previous policy so its stayed at £100 a month, but god knows what next year will bring

You might want to check with your insurance company before doing any mods, especially a lift, which might not be easy with all the electronics on the newer stuffs suspension.

luckily my insurance are pretty good with mods, they just ask that you submit a report to one of their mech people, i mean it is a policy for new drivers generally in little VW UP!'s or whatever and they have probably never had anything like this, but its mainly going to be cosmetic stuff this year, then im going to try and get special 4x4 insurance next year from adrian flux or something so i can start with the more serious stuff

So you'll be wanting to make sure that they'll cover you before you make any mods then

I'm already covered like, but they only expect to be notified for none cosmetic stuff
