I new to this forum and just want to say hello to everyone! I found your forum a few weeks ago and I have to admit that I've been glued to it since!!! So, I decided that instead of sneaking onto it that I'd sign up and start contributing to it (as soon as I'm up to speed on landrovers!!!)
I'm not a Landy owner yet but I will be soon!!! I've loved landrovers for as long as I can remember and I've decided to bit the bullet now! I'm looking at getting a Defender 90.
I plan to use it as my daily driver into work. It'll be a second car in the house so as far as it might not be a pratical car, I'm 100% with that!!
Can anyone give me a recommendation on what engines to be looking for regarding reliability (and if possible something thats not too thirsty!!!) so it wont be the V8 unfortunately
At the moment my budget is at something up to a 1999-2000 model.
Any info anyone has would be really appreciated!!

Also, are there many members here from Rep of Ireland? and if so, where do ye buy your parts/upgrades? Cause shipping them in from the UK I'd imagine will be expensive based on the size and weight of most parts! I have a shopping list already the lenght of my arm and no landy yet!!! .....I need to get my priorities in order!!!!
