Hi I'm Sal -
not too well-versed yet in the art of the Defender although at 34, it is the very first car I have ever owned. Slowly hiking up the learning curve - hoping to learn from you lot. A few issues to figure out with my 1991 Defender 200Tdi. But I am sure they shall be dealt with!

Hello Sal, welcome to Landyzone. There is plenty of advice for new owners on here, you just need a sense of humour. I'm impressed you chose a defender for your first car but how come you have waited until 34? Have you been in prison?

hahaahahhaha - nah, nothing that interesting. I've always lived in the giant cities (London, New York) and it was always the bus or subway... But in Los Angeles, a car is the only way.

They are but there's a good backbone of adventurers in the Californian wilderness. As many lil Priuses as there are Monster trucks.

Welcome aboard :)

Excellent choice of first vehicle - simple and easy to fix ;)
