Hi all

Just registered with the site afew days ago and bought my first land rover defender 90,1986 model at the weekend and drove up from london to scotland. the car is in really nice shape overall but one thing i need sorting before anything else is the windscreen washers,there is only 1 jet working and its looks cracked and sprays out onto bonnet rather than window.

I have heard fixing involves taking dash off but heard that you can buy extension kit instead which i would rather do to be honest,any info about the issue and how to solve much appreciated chaps?

make em by fitting a bucket to the roof.it will collect the rain that leaks in and you could hand pump it over the windscreen useing an old style washing up bottle....

But you'll still need to undo the dash board to replace the washer jet and yes if you've got the right size spanner ready and tiny hands you can do it 30 mins.

Ye CAN get at it through the ashtray hole but it's a bit fiddly
