Hi all,
Long time tinkerer (mostly motorbikes) and Landy admirer - just took the plunge and bought a tidy 2001 TD5 Defender 90!

List of jobs already started, but include:

- Working out and removing a weird 'double immobliser' situation (stock and aftermarket)
- Doors have dropped, door hinges need sorting
- Some locks need replacing
- Welding in new sections for the bottom of the doors
- new spring seats
- surface rust conversion and proofing

Wish me luck! Forum looks great and excited to learn from the collective experiences of members!

Hi and welcome!

You’ll find your list is not exhaustive and is just a starting point! But most importantly, invest in lots of decent security measures too, landies are very popular with thieves.

Thanks! I did realise that, given how easily they are to nick! Disklok is high on the list as are the pedal boxes! Thankfully she's garaged at night!

Increase the security. Think about getting a tracker.
