I've never owned a land rover but worked on a few for friends.

I've always wanted one and nows my chance..

Ive been offered 2 landys, the owner was driving both about until 18 months ago, then they both got layed up with no faults merely not required.

Here are the details..

What are they worth nowadays, better in spares ? or better restored

At a glance they both look like series 2 ish..(i don't really know). short wheel base hard tops.

The vehicle details for are:

Date of First Registration 05 02 1988
Year of Manufacture 1963
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 3500CC
Fuel Type Heavy Oil
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Unlicensed
Vehicle Colour GREEN
Vehicle Type Approval null

The vehicle details for are:

Date of First Registration 09 06 1972
Year of Manufacture Not Available
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1600CC
Fuel Type Heavy Oil
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Unlicensed
Vehicle Colour BROWN
Vehicle Type Approval null

Any geniuses out there able to shed light on if they're likely to be usable projects.

Nope. but welcome to mad hoose.

Why not git yersel wan a those price guide bookes an have a look!!
But if ye dont now wit they are then take some pics an post them fir the
crazy's tae look at ;)

the only rubbish pic i have... going to take some good images tomorrow to find out what they actually are..

Seems odd that they are both listed as heavy oil for the fuel (diesel) when one is clearly a V8 and I'd be surprised to see a 1.6 motor of any sort in a Landy.

Where abouts in zummerzet are they, I might be interested in the older one if your not

My hybrid when it went fer it's first 'puterised MOT, it was listed as capacity 3528cc, fuel type heavy oil, even though it was out of an 87MY Vogue EFi.

Where's these decent pics then? We like piccies!

Considering one wuz built in '63 & date if first registration is '88 (a IIa wiv a V8 in it & the wrong fuel type listed?), I dun't think the '72 bit is much ter go on!

I've stuck load of new piccies up in the Layed up thread i started

thanks for the warm welcome peeps
