Hi,
I'm Stuart a 19 year old student from Perth Scotland, and a big land rover supporter (where I'm from a Defender or a pickup is like every second vehicle ). But stuck driving a Fiat Grande Punto Sport (nice but not exactly a serious off-road machine). Dream is to rebuild a 90 station wagon probably a TD5 or newer with my Dad (also an enthusiast) into a serious machine. It would be a slow project as I have little time and no money . So thought instead of just reading LRO and LRM each month and just browsing the forums and web I would get involved and start asking questions and building info on what I need to know and what I have no clue about .
So hello and I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you.

Welcome from an ex-pat.
Yup you must be a student, joining here at 4.30 on a Sunday morning!

The best advice that I can give you straight away is learning how to use the search facility. You'll find that most problems have been covered at least once and you can prevent yourself from becoming an annoying newbie by reading the old posts and then asking what you don't understand or honestly cannot find.

Nice to see some locals here , yeh got real problems with insomnia, started in my last years at high school then got worse at uni but it means I have more time to read up!
Also thanks disco mikey for that, will definitely take a look .
