What's going on with the rear wheels in that one? They don't seem central in the arches? I wish I could afford one in that condition however haha, the main thing for me is a lack of rust as I don't have my own welder at the moment

£1500 at most, I'm looking for a project not something to just hop in and go :) however I have a habit of always finding bargains, my 4x4 si Mondeo saloon was just £150 last month with the going rate being £1500-2000+ in decent condition

I look on Gumtree and the Lro.com website as they are more realistically priced than eBay. There's a couple on Gumtree at the mo but you'd need a trailer and a day out :D

What am I best searching for? Just "Land Rover"? Or "Land Rover series 3" or "Land Rover series III" etc?

I just searched land rover series on Gumtree and don't specify car section cos sometimes people list projects as parts

Update!
I went one day to hunt down a nice LWB I had seen for years at the side of a house on a country road only to find that there was nothing but a dead patch of grass - gone within the past week :( then on the way back about a mile or two away I saw these two gems, I believe both are series 2's one being LWB one swb however I hear the owner is after extortionate money for them :(

I put a post up on Facebook and I heard of a series 2 LWB (are the 3dr non pickup called vans?) 10miles away for £500 so will definitely be investigating this coming weekend! I was also offered a series 2 LWB station wagon needing work for £1200, I am seriously considering both and the station wagon seems ideal apart from it being at least 150miles away

For 500 quid assuming it's got id you could always eBay it straight away and double your money if it needs to much doing to it

The £500 one I'm expecting to need a complete rebuild but if the chassis is good I don't mind stripping two complete cars to make one of the best parts and then selling the other on, I'll get pics of the car does actually still exist :)

I bought a 1965 '88 for £350 the year before last and it was way to far gone for me as I've already got a '64 project on the go so I ebay'd it for £1400
