Hi,
Well I am Helen, since I was a child I wanted a Landrover and recently got one dated the year I left school. When I got it it had been modified somewhat with raised suspension, checker plating, it has an Isuzu (sorry!) 3L engine fitted and is a 90 body on a Defender chassis. For the first time in my life I actually have a need for 4 wheel drive, I have a smallholding and have to get water, feed and straw across a field to get to my field, essential at this time of year!
Well I have hit my first problem, a propshaft one which is why I am here, but the forum looks good and I shall have a look around.
Please go easy on me if I sound a bit dim at times, I am learning! :)

I have tried to upload a picture but it wont go up :-(

Welcome to the forum, most old giffers on here would have to have something vintage if it were from the year they left school:D

Try uploading to something like photobucket and then copying the link into your post

Impressive eh?

Haha! That's funny, thanks for the info about uploading pictures, I shall look in to that.

Yep, that is a small child admiring my wheels :)

You can get a complete propshaft from Craddocks or Paddocks. Replaced one of mine recently for a Series 3. Cost £45 plus vat n postage. Not sure what cost for a defender. Check websites. Easy job to remove and bolt in new one. If you're not confident doing it yourself, buy the part n a good traditional repair garage shouldn't charge too much. If it's completely busted is it stopping you move the vehicle?
