After months of trawling the Internet weighing up the options, I finally spent much more than I initially intended and bought this:

Not the greatest photo I know, but it's all I've currently got!

It's a black 2009(59) 90 station wagon with 72,000 miles on the clock.

Winch bumper and genuine a bar on the front. Clear lights all round and black LR / Defender badges.

Everything else seems to be as it left the factory.

I'm proud owner number 3.

Pal if you've got no security on it make that your first job, mine was nicked last night and I got it back this morning.

Welcome to the forum

Funnily enough I mentioned after market security to the bloke when I was swapping my insurance over from my old car. He said that it would class as a modification and therefore raise my premium!!!!!

You can't beat the ole steering wheel lock!! She is a lovely looking piece of kit.

Time to find a different insurance company pal. Adrian Flux like people who fit decent modifications cos they reckon it means that you're looking after your vehicle.

That would set alarm bells ringing! Get shot of them and try a landy insurer, Probbably cheaper too.

I'm insured with Admiral as they had my policy from my previous car and wanted silly money to cancel it.

Tried Adrian Flux and also NFU for quotes when I was looking at a 90 hardtop but they were charging premiums that I haven't been quoted since I was a teenager!

Once this policy has run its course I'll get on the hunt again.

I'm not used to paying more than £25/month!!
