Hello all,

Just a quick hello from Cornwall. I am just embarking on a full chassis rebuild on my 1992 200tdi defender. I am sure I will be asking several questions of everyone on here in the coming weeks. Thanks in advance!!

I see you have been studying the form for a while before chancing a first post! :D Probably a good idea! :cool:

Where are you to? Proper Kernow, West of Camburn. or the anglicized bit up East? :)

Thanks for the welcome. I registered for my Dad years ago as he was restoring his 2a, but he isn't got with computers so never used the site. I am just starting a rebuild on a defender so thought it would be good to start using a forum as I am definitely going to need members help.

Not to far west, just in Carnkie, nr Redruth.

I am Simon btw my Dad is David. Do you know how to change the username? Cheers

About fifteen minutes from here then. :) I know Carnkie.
A good friend, Martyn 110, lives in Druth. He also has a 200Tdi Defender 90, as it happens. You may well find he will pop up in a bit! :)

No idea about the username, try starting a conversation with @blue beasty mght be a way to go.

I will keep an eye out for Martyn. I think he posted on a Feb site earlier saying his gal you chassis is starting to rust, bad times!!

Nothing at all wrong with Marts chassis! Or with the rest of his motor! :confused: It is in very good nick, he has done a nice job with it, assisted by myself at times. :)

I live on a farm, up a long dirt road, few miles outside Hayle.
 
Hi, Kernowites - I'm near St. Just - managed to post in the wrong place - but then I only have a dinky-toy job at the mo called a Freelander! West of Druth - REAL Cornwall!
