Hi there!
I'm new the the forum so thought I'd better introduce myself - I'm from Sheffield originally but now in Barnsley via a few places along the way!
I'm currently looking to own my first Land Rover, I learned to drive in my Dad's 109 Series IIA Safari 2.6 Petrol, driven a few different Landys in my time but now wanting to get hold of a good Series II / IIA to use as a daily driver / 2nd car / Classic.
So where to start...? My ideal would be a concourse little number with bags of history, unmarked chassis and bulletproof mechanicals, but 40-odd year old vehicles don't tend to be like that! Prefer 2 1/4 Petrol to diesel - it's a long-term proposition so I'm thinking Gas conversion with underslung tanks would be worth the investment on the right motor... ebay has been my first port of call but I'd rather get some advice from you guys...!
