If it's a 2008 model, I think they might have gone back to a belt by then for the camshaft drive. It's probably some variant of the 2.0 or 2.2 Duratorq at that vintage. The TDCi Puma has a chain I believe (though I've never opened one up to check), as has my TD5.

Wow! There is clearly a lot to learn. I will check this out for sure. My teenage years were spent helping my dad with his cars (engines were simpler then) so I'm keen to learn. Thanks for this.
 
If you spend lots of time in Cumnock go and see Gibson. I hear they are quite good! Also there is a couple of good garages up in Strathaven but that's a bit far for for you.
