My Name is Darren, 39 and I'm an alcoholic
No wait, sorry that's my other meetings. Start Again!!!!
I'm Darren and I have for some reason decided that once again I need to own a Landy. So I purchased 'Buddy' a '76 Series 3 109. I' m told Buddy has a circa '86 defender 90 2.5NA Diesel engine fitted. Everything else is S3. I got Buddy a little cheaper than expected on eBlag due to what was described as a fuel pump problem. Turned out to be the banjo nut on the fuel return had no hole in it. Test drive has revealed clutch slip ( new bits on order ) and the massive need for an overdrive.
In a previous life I used to own a '74 lightweight (Q914JWU) and a 109 RAF Ambulance. (HUM109G) If anyone knows of their existence it would be great to know if they are still about. Also helped in a ground up rebuild of a S2 88 FFR V8 conversion ( I still know where that one is!)
Trouble is I've forgotten much more about the art of repairing these beasts than I can remember, and my days of laying in the gutter while the rain runs down my neck are starting to disappear.
Which brings me nicely to you guys.
Be warned! I know how to use the search buttons ( yes I've been reading a lot of answers to posts on here already) but I will probably still be asking stupid questions. I like a bit of banter but will try and refrain myself from using it too much until I settle in.
By the way ( because I is down wiv dem kids init) I'm using this bloody Tapatalk app and knowing my luck this post has ended up in the wrong section. If so I apologise and will immediately set fire to Buddy and hang my head in shame.
So therefore this is what Buddy looks like at the moment.
Edit: Removal of picture showing girlfriend in shower.
Thanks Guys
