I have just joined have bought a 2001 freelander previously owned a 1990 defender but have to change due to little landrover fan with me

Yes TD4 not a patch on the defender but the wife like it

A Freelander should not be driven by someone who would keep driving for weeks or months , with bits hanging off and droning and creaking etc.......... and not let you know .

For your own sanity , drive it yourself at least a few times a week and keep on top of maintainance .
I hope you both enjoy your Freelander . Its a good vehicle .
