Noooooo

Used to have a bass cd to test speakers, one was called the girl pleaser frequency. 33 mhz. Only old diesel engines create the same frequency.....seriously. i used to fit bass boxes and stereo systems for blaupunkt frachiser. God i know some rubbish!

Did the girls have to sit on the speaker or would it have the desired effect from a distance? It's just that I am replacing the stereo in the lounge and the wife was asking:eek:

Quick update people. Tilly is all sorted and running better than ever. New ignition switch and wire to stop solenoid, new battery, new windscreen, new vent rubbers, new inlet manifold and turbo elbow gaskets, new air filter, fuel filter and little rubber dump valve at bottom of air filter. New oil filter and lots of new oil. Outside, side steps fitted, replaced silver grill and light surround with black ones. Painted a frame and front bumper. Inside, Good clean (needed scraper to remove muck from behind seats yuck), removed headlining and cleaned with soap powder, filled and painted door cards that had been chewed by dog and replaced hand brake lever again as been chewed by dog. New seat covers with heated pads under, power sockets, stereo, dog guard. New pedal rubbers. Replaced nasty after market steering wheel with original. phew. Still have a serious leak that seems to be dripping off the bulkhead bolt just under the widscreen then running down under the dash and dripping on my gas pedal foot, must fix that next - any ideas where it is getting in.

Any suggestions what I should do after the leak?

Good grief you've been busy! Got any pics? :D

I have some before pics from the ebay listing I bought her from that I will upload shortly. However have not taken any myself yet as it has been so wet and I have only just found out how to upload photos, will try to get some over the weekend so you can see her now.

Yeah, you can fix mine.

As regards the leak, I presumde the new windscreen came with new rubber? Alternately could be the seal that sits between the windscreen frame and the bulkhead.

It was the vibrations sent through the vehicle. :D they said that a girl sitting by the speaker would be aroused by said vibrations. Never tested it myself

Not quite. Also used to happen at about 50 mph on the pillion of a bike fitted with a Triumph 500/650 twin.

Look of embarrasment at the wet seat after a 5 mile run was guaranteed. Never got the same effect on a Norton though.

Tazz, yeah new rubber fitted and as much as I would love to fix your Landy still have a list as long as my arm to do, by which time she will need new oil, fuel and air filters and around we go again. Like I said earlier in this thred always thought that sleep and tv was overrated!!. Also missed off the list that I have fitted four new tyres with LR valve caps, replaced the missing LR wheel centre caps, new lock barrels allround and new rubber bushes on the bonnet.

I think as far as the leak is concerned, I am going to take the vent seals off and use Tiger Seal instead of the silicon that I had in the shed as I am not 100% convinced that it has cured properly and therefore is waterproof.

Then the next thing to change is the bulkhead rubber as I have a sneeky suspision that you may be right.

Oh well onwards and upwards.
