1st to say hello:
I am by no means new to the Land Rover scene since on and off my relationship goes back to the 60's with my (late) father's 107 Series I.

They have been and gone since 'til my present 110 defender CSW which I bought @ 10 months old in '93

I converted this this from 200tdi to 300tdi with a brand new engine and conversion kit from a firm in Cambs, (Lost contact details now) about 5 years ago. The conversion kit included a longer bell housing (HRC1820) and the longer input shaft to convert my LT77 Gbox to suit

At a later date I bought a spare 380 Gbox at Old Sodbury sort out with a short Bell housing (HRC2643)

My LT77 is now on it's last legs, but on stripping down the 380 I find it has a (short) 21 tooth input shaft and to rebuild the 380 I need a long (350mm?) 21 input shaft.

Since I do not know the origin of the 380 sodbury it may have come from a military FC, a V8 or whatever, so it is quite possible no such shaft exists.

The # on the 380 casing is 50A0450077J

Can anyone advise the origin of this box and wether an 350 mm/21 tooth shaft exists

Eternal gratitude for any assisance

Excellent contact, added to 'My Bookmarks' They quickly identified the box as one for an export NA (Hence the lower ratio) and are supplying the parts to rebuild to standard
300tdi/R380 spec

Many thanks for your speedy reply.

Hell Slapper, hope you like what you find and stick around.

Well done Trewey, another satisfied customer. :5bhurray: :praise:
