Hello all

As above, I bought a 3 door Freelander 1. The logic was to have a small SUV convertible (as demanded...) and for me to learn a bit more spannering.

It’s a 2004 TD4 in Zambezi. And it seems in reasonable nick. And well looked after.

I’ve tried to do my first job, and it’s gone wrong, so over to the main FL forum.... I may well get good at spannering. Or just keep making mistakes....

Now it works. Sticky brake pedal switch (I think) got me yellow Christmas lights to day (abs, TC, and hill descent). Went out after a rummage around the pedal

Need to pick up. A proper soft top key tomorrow and hope that gets the soft top clamps to catch the lugs..... so I can leave the soft top on for a bit (hard top is too heavy for fiancée to move on her own).

Now we get to the real LR experience.

Starting to spend money on it

new radiator
AC Compressor
Condenser
Belts
Battery

Some preventative and common sense whilst front end is off... I’ll do some cleaning and rust protection whilst it’s all off as well
