New to this sort of thing but I have a Defender 2.4 Turbo Diesel which runs very hot on the motorway (almost on red on the temp guage). Consequently the heater produces red hot air. As the summer approaches this is not ideal. Any ideas on a solution?

2.4 you say? is that a 2007? if it is... take it back to the stealer!

check thermostat, brakes rubbing? are you using coolant or just water?
