I have purchased my first Landrover, a Freelander TD4 with a clutch issue. The problem is that I broke the shifter going into the gearbox by slipping and dropping the box and now i`m on the search for a matching selector mechanism but its like finding Rocking horse Sh$$!
Through various channels and research I may of found a cheap replacement selector but I am not 100% on the match. The question is....
Q. Will a Vauxhall Getrag F23 gearbox selector mechinism (minus external attatchments) Fit onto/into a TD4 Getrag Freelander gearbox?
The parts schematic is of a freelander td4 box and the picture is of a f23 shifter. They are remarkably close.
Any help at all would be appreciated,
