Big hello to all...
Total newbie here, just 2 days into owning a Landy and the insurance is sorted so should be able to take it out for a full ride at the weekend.
Series 2A, J-reg 1971, petrol, SWB, split windscreen, 3 door hard top... mainly blue with white roof.
Have always wanted one so feeling :D but also a bit  in case I'm not up to the  task of being an owner of such a vehicle. Any help and advice from more experienced owners will be welcome so apologies in advance if questions asked seem daft! For a kick-off... what's the best manual to get for a novice - Haynes or other?
Thanks all!

Welcome, Get yourself the official LR green workshop manual, it will be your best ever purchase. There is one on Fleabay at the moment, I paid a fiver for mine, bargain, but I have seen them for £40 if LR parts shops.
Give me a shout if you fancy doing some lanes or pay and play days.

Thanks for the advice - have put in a bid on the eBay manuals and also another "non-Haynes" that's on there by Castrol. Are there any useful Internet resources that you're aware of?

hi new fella and welcome. the guys are quite mad but full of infoprmation that can be useful! have fun with you new truck and on this far out crazy forum|! ;)

Bugger!
Missed the "green bible" on eBay... put a bid in but got sooo busy at work I forgot to go back and check - got outbid at the last minute. GRRRR!
I'll keep looking... if anyone out there knows of another would you let me know?
