For many years I have wanted a Landrover, now I'm getting on in years I have the option to buy an 02 plate, 3 door, convertable, 1800cc Freelander GS with about 74000 original on the clock.
I have never owned one before, this one does not have an owners manual with it. I'm confused about the yellow switches on the gear lever. I assume they are something to do with the 4 / 2 wheel drive or is this model only 4 wheel drive?

Can any help either with a manual or tell me what do they do please?

many thanks to you all and hope to speak soon,

THE 1.8 IS NOT THE GAYLANDER TO BUY!Get a td4 if you must.DONT GET A PTEROL!!!!and they are perminent 4x4(just), the yellow switch is for going down hills that you wont be able to get back up.
